Terms of Service

By creating an account or using CinemaX Africa, you agree to comply with these Terms.

CinemaX Africa is a virtual cinema. We provide access to movies, television shows, documentaries and other digital content through internet-enabled devices. Films are shown at scheduled times, and you buy a ticket to a specific screening rather than to the film itself.

You are responsible for:

• •Maintaining account confidentiality
• •Providing accurate information
• •All activities conducted under your account

Access to a screening requires a paid ticket. Payment is taken by bank transfer or card through our payment provider, or from your CinemaX Africa wallet.

Tickets:

• •Are charged per screening, with the price shown before you pay
• •Admit one person to the one screening they were bought for
• •Are subject to applicable taxes

There is no recurring subscription and nothing renews automatically — you are charged only when you buy a ticket or top up your wallet.

Where payment is by bank transfer you must send the exact amount shown. If less arrives than the ticket costs, no ticket is issued and the shortfall remains payable; on a wallet top-up, whatever arrived is credited.

The wallet holds a prepaid balance for buying tickets. It is not a bank account, earns no interest, and is not transferable. A balance remaining when you delete your account is forfeited, so spend it first.

If we cancel a screening you will be refunded or credited. Otherwise tickets are generally non-refundable once a screening has begun — if something goes wrong, contact support and we will look at it.

All content available on CinemaX Africa is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. A ticket buys permission to watch that screening once, personally, and transfers no ownership.

Users may not:

• •Copy
• •Redistribute
• •Reproduce
• •Record or screen-capture
• •Download illegally
• •Sell or exploit content without authorisation

Users must not:

• •Violate applicable laws
• •Upload harmful content
• •Attempt unauthorised access
• •Interfere with platform operations
• •Share an account, ticket or QR code so someone else watches in your place
• •Harass or abuse other viewers in a cinema room chat

We strive to provide uninterrupted service but do not guarantee continuous availability. A screening depends on your internet connection as much as on us.

CinemaX Africa reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

CinemaX Africa shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
