CinemaX Africa is a virtual cinema. We give African film the thing streaming took away — an opening night, a full house, and an audience watching the same frame at the same moment, wherever they happen to be.
Scheduled screenings, not a catalogue
Films show at set times. You buy a ticket to a particular screening and watch it alongside everyone else who booked it, rather than starting it alone whenever you like.
A live room
Chat and polls run during a screening, so an audience watching from different cities still watches together.
Built for African bandwidth
Quality is selectable down to 360p, there is a low-data mode, and eligible films can be downloaded for watching where the connection is poor.
Fair to the people who make the films
Producers keep their own accounts, see what their films earned, and are paid on the revenue share agreed with them.
